Sarah & Duncan’s Dreamy Danesfield House Wedding
We normally meet up with our brides and grooms before their big day, and for some reason or another, we never managed to meet Sarah and Duncan before their wedding day. We knew, however, what a special wedding venue Danesfield House is, so we knew we were working with a bride and groom with exceptional style and taste!
We arrived at Danesfield and the heavens had literally just opened! The wind was howling and the sky was a very dark grey! We had our pretty white umbrellas in the car for “just in case” but as it turns out the day just got better and better by the minute and it ended up being a spectacular day of sunshine and rainbows!
Sarah got ready in a suite upstairs with her bride tribe as Duncan was downstairs meeting and greeting guests. Sarah was just the sweetest, calmest bride, we arrived whilst Gemma was doing her hair - so our first meeting of her was through the mirror! And she looked picture perfect! Her bridesmaids and brides-man were dressed in the prettiest soft blue and were perfectly attentive!
Sarah walked down the aisle in the Versailles Suite with a fabulous string quartet accompanying her as she and her dad walked towards a very emotional Duncan! She looked absolutely stunning - we can’t blame him! The ceremony was beautiful with emotional, personally written vows by the bride and groom and special writings and poems read. During the ceremony the sun appeared through the clouds which meant after the couple had said their “I do’s” and were officially declared husband and wife, they enjoyed a receiving line outside Danesfield House with confetti provided by the cutest little flower girls and mini groomsman! More is ALWAYS more when it comes to confetti and we always tell our brides and grooms if they think they have enough, get a little bit more!
Whilst drinks and canapés were served to the guests on the terrace, we took a stroll in the beautiful lavender filled gardens at Danesfield House for a little alone time with the bride and groom to take some bridal portraits for them before they returned to their party to celebrate! And celebrate they did! The Versailles Suite was turned around into the wedding reception room where they laughed and cried at the speeches, ate fabulous fine food and danced the night away, with, quite frankly, the very best live band we’ve ever experienced at a wedding! Soul Allegiance by The Supreme Collective were absolutely BRILLIANT and had the dance floor filled from the first dance ‘til late into the evening!
